About Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks was born in Yukon, Oklahoma and was destined for Nashville. He worked various jobs during college and landed his first performing gig at Opryland theme park. He graduated from college in 1985 and headed to Nashville, but quickly realized it wasn't for him. He signed with Capitol Records in 1988 and released his first album in 1989. His biggest hits include The Thunder Rolls, We Shall Be Free, and Much Too Young (to Feel This Damn Old). His most memorable moment was performing in New York's Central Park in 2001.

The Story of George Strait

George Strait was born in Poteet, Texas, and eloped with his high school sweetheart. He joined an Army-sponsored band and formed his own group, Ace in the Hole. His first single, Unwound, was from his first album, Strait Country. He recorded multiple #1 albums and won multiple Country Music Association awards.
